Meet Mike
Simi Valley is my home.
Parents like me want to send their kids to great public schools. Exceptional teachers want to teach at these schools. I know Simi schools. I graduated from them and it’s where I send my own kids. As a lifelong Simi resident, I have always been drawn to support public education. School was a safe place where I learned to grow. It was where I was supported, encouraged, challenged, and allowed to develop my sense of self. As a dad of a recent graduate (Class of 2024) and a high school rising junior (class of 2026), I understand that diversity in each student’s educational journey is crucial for their transition to adulthood.
Simi Valley is where I work.
I am a businessman in the private sector. I lead a global Aerospace Technical Communications and R&D Marketing team for one of the largest employers in Simi Valley. I have used local business connections to make a difference in the classroom for teachers and students.
Simi Valley is where I serve.
I actively support Simi schools through my involvement with the Simi Valley Education Foundation. I have served on this board since 2011, three terms as President, working directly with the school district to fund grants and scholarships that positively impact students and teachers directly in the classroom. As an engaged and involved parent, I have volunteered, raised money, and served on school-site steering committees at each school my children have attended.
